Description
Christopher Reeve’s autographed release scripts and a crew jersey from the production of Richard Donner’s superhero film Superman. These items were personally gifted by Reeve in a competition on the BBC TV show Multi-Coloured Swap Shop in 1980, and later auctioned on BBC’s Flog It! in 2018.
This lot consists of Reeve’s personal Superman release script, split into two black leather-bound books, and a navy front-zip hooded jersey (size S) featuring a metallic “S” insignia on the back. The first half of the script is dated “1978” and comprises 171 pages, while the second half contains 180 pages, all printed on single-sided white paper. The title page found in the first script features Reeve’s autograph, signed in blue pen, alongside a handwritten dedication to the winner of the TV show competition, which he’s dated “8 February 1980”. Accompanying this lot is an official BBC letter addressed to the competition winner congratulating them on winning their prize. Dimensions (each script): 32 cm x 23 cm x 2.5 cm (12 1/2″ x 9″ x 1″)
